Reader comment on item: "[Symposium] On the Strip: Where To Go from Gaza?"

Submitted by David W. Lincoln (Canada), Jun 29, 2006 at 20:59

The time has come to quit hampering ourselves. So, what needs to be done. I say it is time that we ditch political correctness and multi-culturalism. We hear time and time again ad nauseum that all are equal. Well, this does not mean all are identical in every way.

Lets face it, the culture of death that has seduced so many in the Arab world is the opposite of the strength of the west: all of us have the power to make choices and these choices are consequential. Until more and more of us are willing to relegate political correctness and multi-culturalism to the category of ideas that sounded good, instead of being good and sound; all we have accomplished is a refutation of what we inherited.
