Reader comment on item: "[Symposium] On the Strip: Where To Go from Gaza?"

Submitted by Karen Salina (United States), Jun 30, 2006 at 06:57

Is there an on line effort to gather signatures to support Israel's protection of its land and citizens and to express to the President and State Dept. to insist that the sovereign state of Israel has a right and an obligation to defend its citizery from hostile acts, including random bombings from its closest neigbor?

Why does America and Western Europe insist on maintaining double standards; one for us and a different standard for Israelis? How long would we tolerate dozens of bomb strikes from Canada or Mexico before we decided to take action? Or is this (double standard) just a more subtle form of anti semetism?
