Reader comment on item: Away with Crusaders, Crucifixes, Crosses, and Christmas

It amazes me to read that our brave allies the British are removing the Cross of St. George from everything it now adorns.

Does this mean the Union Jack will be a thing of history.??/Certainly not !!

It will not be allowed in the history books because it might offend someone. I'm not even British and I'm offended by the very thought of it.

They augument against it is that English Crusaders wore the Cross on their uniforms as they went east to try and rescue the Christians beings slaughtered by the Saracens.

What about the Star &Cresent?? It led armies all the way from then Middle East to Southern France and later to the gates of Vienna slaughtering all the way. When they were done Christendom had been annihilated east of Vienna.

Are the English becoming French?
