Reader comment on item: Away with Crusaders, Crucifixes, Crosses, and Christmas

We need to ask a question: 'From whence came the foundations of our societies?'

Sadly, our 'politically correct' - "let's all roll-over" type leaders are ignorant of the truth that has undergirded the flow of life, in Western nations, for generations.

In their attempt to reject many of the demands of the former basis for law, they have produced no satisfactory replacement.

They have no genuine appreciation of how we arrived at the type of society we... once lived in.

Their view of history, their rationale for law and morality, and their understanding of the dynamics in which we find ourselves, historically, politically, and socially is... (to use an economic term, the only sort they still seem to understand) bankrupt.

It reminds one of the downhill slide, before Hilkiah "found the book of law" - and handed it to King Josiah. It was virtually to late, for lasting reforms.

The secular view of life, which has risen to the top in 'the West' is as pathetic, as Islam is legalistic.
