I like your way of explaining civilized version of Islam.

My understanding from reading the Quran is that head cover is a necessity for woman's faith to be completed. It is a huge sin if a Muslim woman shows her body especially when she swims. This is obviously in the Quran and practiced by Muhammad's wives and his followers.

My understanding from reading the Quran. When you say that a Muslim can watch someone drinking alcohol, I know for a fact that in Quran " Allah cursed who drinks alcohol and cursed the one who sees alcohol". You sound a very reasonable person who likes to have a spiritual relationship with GOD, I am wondering that after all what you read about Muhammad's life, his battles, and his killings. Do you really think that Muhammad represents a prophet that will promote Muslims souls to a higher level closer to the divine entity of GOD?

Also, for an intelligent person like yourself, how can Allah be contradicting himself, many times in the Quran it says "kill the unbelievers" and then few times it says be nice with your neighbors. The message is so confusing. When I asked this question to Muslims, they usually say each ayah presents a certain condition, which is maybe what makes extremist confused and justifies the violence by the verses from Quran. However in the bibles (new testimony) the message is consistent, example, it always say love your enemies as much as you love yourself.

I appreciate your feedback on all of the above points if possible

Please do not consider this as insulting Islam, these are only questions
