Reader comment on item: [Beltway Snipers]: Converts to Violence?

You cite minor horrors WW1 and WW2 and Nazism and so on. Horrendous as they are, these are minor in the view of all of history.

Furthermore it should be noted that the Mufti of Jerusaleum wanted to help exterminate the Jews - was he a Muslim or a westerner/christian.

No arabs raised a dissenting voice in the extermination of the Jews.

And all of these wars and incidences lasted a short time.

The Muslims spent centuries spreading their faith - tolerant as they were/are - convert or die by the sword.
This is how the Gypsies came to be isn't it ? to roam Europe for centuries rather than convert to Islam or death.
And when tolerance was utilised it was to allow dhimmies to reside - pay a special dhimmi tax etc

Have you given Ben Ladin the title of Islams 2nd Prophet yet.
Perhaps not - he has not yet massacred as many people as Muhummad (if you want to compare the number of deaths that resulted as a result of the Crusades - go for it.)
But for Islam, the Balkans would not have the problems it has today.
