God knows what is between a man and his heart, who are you to judge what a true muslim is or not. Just be grateful that you believe in God and muhammad as his messenger. In times, which we live in it is difficult to grasp faith, with all the world promoting materialism. May God bless all those under his mercy including mike tyson.

Yes there are varying degrees of faith. But the fact of the mattter is, tyson proclaimed his shahadah and believes in God and muhammed as his messenger, so he is a muslim.....
Be careful claiming others are not true muslims, even the prophet spoke of difficulties in ones spiritual life, which is why he said in the statement we have returned from the lesser jihad onto the greater, the greater scholars have suggested refers to ones " nefs" or inner desires......

imam rabbani a scholar from the 15th century india, stated that there are two forms of faith an outward, and inward

the inward reality is closer to God fearingness than anything as one is continually busying oneself with the name of God or reflecting on God... His/her actions are sincere and not from the nefs, the outward manifestatio nof faith is common amongst muslims, it is difficult to attain to the inward state.....

so be easy on those who you may consider less muslim than you, for this is a step towards arrogance, thus illustrating an outward manifestation of faith. Be grateful for what you have, and show sympathy towards those who have less than you, even if it is faith........ for your faith can be taken away by God!!! so beware of arrogance
