It's called "Had Al Ridah" it menas that if you are a muslim then you change your religion you are given three days to go back to Islam if not then i'm afraid you have to face the death penalty. I am not sure how it works in the bible but I know that in Islam other religions are allowed to live with Muslims. Back in the day Prophet Mohammed Peace Be Upon Him let shared the Madina (a place in Saudi Arabia) with jews until they betrayed him. Muslim countries allow non muslims to live with them.

What Islam does not allow is that you change your faith after you become a Muslim. There are many Muslim Countries that have people of other faiths living there. An example would be Egypt, Kuwait, UAE, Qatar, Yemen, Oman, Sudan, Lebanon, Syria, Iran, Iraq, Turkey, Pakistan even in Riyad Saudi Arabia there are non muslims.

PS. The Qur'an is the only Holy book than has not been changed and will never be changed.
