Reader comment on item: The Swiss Ban on Minarets: A Possible Turning Point

Submitted by susan (United States), Nov 30, 2009 at 12:56

Muslim clerics around the world are already bemoaning this amazing exhibition of courage from the Swiss, calling the referendum "intolerant" , "islamophobic", and "anti-muslim". They should have the maniacal masses sufficiently enraged after Friday prayers to stage mass riots and demonstrations throughout Europe. I wonder why Muslims think it is perfectly acceptable to persecute Jews and Christians in predominately Muslim countries, where their homes, houses of worship, and shops are burned to the ground and they are often murdered by mobs of pious Muslims. Is this tolerance? Why should the world "tolerate" Muslims when they are the most intolerant, totalitarian, supremacist megalomaniacs on the planet? They might consider themselves "the best of people" but empirical evidence proves that many of them are a blight on humanity.
