Not all US citizens participated in the vote which established Obama as the new President of the USA. If all had, he might not be the President. Conversely , his lead might have been stronger

Not all German citizens voted for Merkel. Shall we annul the ballots?

Democracy is the rule of the people who participate. Those who do not participate gave their tacit approval to live with whatever outcome. So this comment is your typical Leftist world-view: If democracy does not produce the desired result, change the People.
