Reader comment on item: The Swiss Ban on Minarets: A Possible Turning Point

Submitted by Dan Rusen (Canada), Nov 30, 2009 at 15:44

Dr. Pipes says that the minaret issue is a trivial matter, but claims that the vote against them is significant as a sign that European tolerance may be diminishing for their pesky and demanding and potentially dangerous Muslim neighbors.

Oh really?

The Swiss are all about money, not Mohammed - always have been. They are not so concerned that the Muslim hordes will change ther laws so much as they will disrupt its calm, hyper tidy, and unruffled bank-lobby persona.

The Swiss were only too happy to accommodate the banking needs of the Nazis. indeed it took Edgar Bronfman years to extract even a small portion of Jewish funds stolen and deposited in Swiss banks. The Swiss used those ill-gotten funds for fifty years, and held onto that filthy lucre with a death grip. If international Islam would only publicly guarantee not to disupt the banking system, the Swiss would be only to happy to accommodate these modern day religious fascists too.

The cleanest people on the outside are often the dirtiest ones on the inside.
