Ghulam Muhammed's sympathies for Jews. Wow!

Reader comment on item: The Swiss Ban on Minarets: A Possible Turning Point
in response to reader comment: First blood by the neo-fascists in Europe

Dear Dr Pipes: Islamists have no consistent stands. In his letter to you Ghulam Muhammed says "...Yesterday, the Jews were the focal point for Fascist consolidation, today it is the Muslims and immigrants.".

While one of their brothers pledges to destroy Israel, the other compares the Swiss ban on minarets to fascist persecution of Jews in Europe. Nice try, Ghulam, but since when you became a supporter of the Jews? I thought they were guilty of sin for corrupting the religion revealed to them by God and hence deserved no friendship.

Islamists never stop at minarets. First there are minarets, then there will be loudspeakers, and then there will be sound of prayers five times a day. And anyone who opposes that the loud public prayers 365 days a year at inconvenient times is an infringement of rights of muslims and non-muslims, will be branded as sectarian and anti-progressive. And, of course, it is perfectly all ok if non Islamic worship is prohibited in Islamic nations.

If the minarets do not match with surrounding architecture and if there is a threat that they will lead to excessive public noise, then ban on minarets may be justified.
