Nonsense, Henk Twerda.

The point of this action is not to stop muslims from protesting. It is intended to stop them from being so violent about it.

When Christians and Jews find something objectionable, we start a discussion. We do not say 'my way or the highway'. We talk about how and why we find something objectionable. We encourage everyone to join the discussion. We persuade. This is the way of the free world. There is absolutely no reason why showing our support of free speech and our culture should be relegated to others.

When is the last time you have seen any sane minded individuals resort to the tactics that the muslims do routinely? When is the last time you have seen anyone killed in the Netherlands for condemning Christianity or Judaism?

With the muslims, it is a one-way street. We need to put our foot down and show that we will not be intimidated. Because that is the muslim message, intimidation and fear. As a Christian, Henk, I think you owe it to your fellow Christians and countrymen to show your support for the civilized way to do things. Next time you want to protest a cartoon you find objectionable, you are not planning on burning down any buildings are you? Set any cars on fire? Behead anyone? Of course not! It is the way muslims protest that we are against.

If the muslims do not care to emulate us, then they should stay in their horrible islamic countries and stop polluting ours.
