The reason it won't work

Yes, it sounds like a great plan to desensitize Muslims and on the surface it might work to an extent. But it does nothing to address the proof that Imams worldwide will have to better convince adherents that the polarized west hates Islam and vilifies it daily. It will be the first concrete intentionally provided 'proof', which we have thus far not done (though we cannot control them taking ridiculous things and magnifying them beyond recognition).

All such a tactic will do is prove their paranoid delusions and give them more justification. Should we care if they have justification or not is another question since their perceived justifications for violence now are pretty ridiculous.

At any rate, I would prefer to have the cameras turned off and no response to their English signs and posturing. Let them kill each other if they like, but I am not comfortable with stooping that low to make them feel righteous. I prefer making a mockery of their idiocy by photo shopping other signs onto Islamists posing, as has been done here: http://elderofziyon.blogspot.com/2012/09/masked-terrorists-with-ak-47s-celebrate.html
