Hi , Guy !

Thanks for you kind words . My principle is perhaps not as noble as you might think. I would never insult a kafir and always do my best to reconcile and mediate between two quarrelling kafirs, as I am for kaffiri solidarity . As to Moslems, you must draw the conlusion from the above yourself . ;)

Pure scientific interest or good European philellenism ?

Small wonder. Cyprus had not been not part of Turkey ever since 1878 and the standard of living and mentality were quite different from backward Anatolia . The British administration was efficient and less corrupt , health service and wages relatively high and Greek neighbours not demonized and hated as in Kemalist Turkey . All this was ended brutally in the summer of 1974 by Attila 1-2 invasions.

As a result of the invasion and of the influx of primitive Anatolian peasants and soldiers a curious phenomenon took place - mass emigration of genuine Cypriote Turks from Northern Cyprus to the UK , Canada and elsewhere . I read that this way c. 60 000 true Turkish Cypriotes had left the island. The majority of today's Turks in Northern Cyprus are Anatolians.
