in response to reader comment: " Long live Vladmir Iliych Lenin! Long live Gazi Mustafa Kemal !"

"The Greeks were smashed (against all probability ) in the battle on the Sangarios (some 80 km east of Ancara) because the Kemalists had received Soviet rifles , cannons and machine guns and gold over Batumi "

Without Soviet rifles The Turks would not smash The Greeks !. Yes you are right . I just wonder why not The Greeks did not smash The Turks , while they have all rifles, cannons and machine guns and gold supplied by France, Italy, England.

"Instead of fighting an equal enemy (the Turks never do that)"

You are right Ianus, The Turks never do that. The Greeks do that. They always fight an equal enemy. That is why they were so eager to invade Turkey, when The Turks were defeated in WW1 . When Turkish military officers were arrested, when all weapons were taken away, when there was no remaining Ottoman army, when ─░stanbul and many other cities were invaded . Yes at that time The Greeks were equals to The Turks !.

And today we see you Greeks and you Europeans brought to region. You brought democracy, human rights. French controlled Syria, Lebanon ..., England controlled Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Iran, Iraq, Egypt ... Europeans controlled all the region after WWII. Yeas They brought democracy, they were not here for oil , for power. It is surprise Turkey is only democracy ( may not be perfect, but the one and only ) in the region. The only nations fought and gained their independence. What about Greece, it was a province of Roman Empire after 160 B.C. From 5th century to 1453 East Roman Empire aka Byzantine Empire controlled Greece not Greeks. That is why Ottoman called you Rums (Romans) not Greeks. Today in Turkey lives Rums and Greeks. Only in 1830 Greek state was founded when Russia , France and England fought against Ottoman Empire for Greeks. As you said "Instead of fighting an equal enemy (the Turks never do that) " After Roman invasion Greeks never fights alone for themselves. Russia being Orthodox like Greeks was always behind them. For more than hundreds years Greeks turned away their historical friends for friendship of US , England and France. What about that ?

You know ? I do not write for you. You are not different of Islamic Fundamentalists. You are just a opposite , you are just a Christian Fundamentalist. I wonder why you are so full of hate for The Turks ?

Back then you needed support of English, French and Italians and today you need support of European Union. You cheated European Union to become a member. You spent its money. and now you beg them to save you. What a accomplishment. Nothing changed in a century. You were begging then, you were begging now.

I apologize to all Greeks besides you and your kind. But this the language that your kind would understand. The Last crusaders. You all are not capable of understanding, it was the past, today is different.

I respect Greeks for their contribution in civilisation in ancient times. I respect warriors of ancient Greece. And I expect same respect for me and for my ancestors. But for me and most of Turkish People war against Greece, Europeans and against all old enemies is over as long as they live in peace with us. But those times are over, it is different now. Leave them behind you. Otherwise there are others like me to remind you your place.
