Islam is the problemReader comment on item: James Baker's Terrible Iraq Report Submitted by Romesh Chander (United States), Dec 16, 2006 at 21:14 You wrote "There must be a shift in the thought process of those that are muslim and those in the west that have brought us to this point. I do not just refer to the Bush crowd. I include all of those that have made the mistakes in history. if it does not occur soon (within the next decade) things will go very bad for us all (muslims too).". Frankly, I do not find that a change in thought process of muslims is possible. Reason is very simple -- every word of Koran is sacred to them. They need to discard portions of Koran which makes no sense anymore. They even need to reinterpret Koran. I am quite pessimistic. Liberals (and powers that be) refuse to face the reality of the nature of Islamism. Even the conservatives are confused. We refuse to make any sacrifices. You don't win was without making sacrifices. And Islamists are bent on Jihad. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
