To be expectedReader comment on item: James Baker's Terrible Iraq Report Submitted by John Giannasca (Australia), Dec 14, 2006 at 18:59 The unfortunate aspect of life, especially political life, is that if people dont like you and cant give you a bloody nose, they will attack and disagree with everything you do and say regarless of the content. This is what I believe is happening with this report. That President Bush has handled the situation (from a PR pespective) badly, is a given. That many dont like him and are easily influenced by Michael Moore style paradies is also a given. To offer a suite of solutions that are directly opposite the status quo is also to be expected when people who like the sound of their own voice (or like the style of their own print) are asked to give an opinion. Mr Pipes, please keep up the pressure to expose the fallacy of their recommendations Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please. Comments are screened and in some cases edited before posting. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate.
