The Incredible Shrinking Baker

Reader comment on item: James Baker's Terrible Iraq Report

Submitted by Peter J. Herz (United States), Dec 12, 2006 at 20:18

I now see a pattern with James Baker: sound wise and pretend that everyone's operating in good faith.

I once heard Mr. Baker declare that America's One China policy was designed to give Beijing and Taipei time to work things out peacefully. In fact, it seems to tempt Beijing to bellicosity and military adventurism every four years. Now, he says Iran under Ah-madness-inedjad can be a bonafide peace partner. When, O when, will America's elite see that there really are people who hate liberty?
