Reader comment on item: James Baker's Terrible Iraq Report

Extrordinarily well done - even for you!

Although Baker-Hamilton report needs no more impeaching than the named authors have already done themselves. I find something truly troubling in a peripheral item - that is retaining the Edleman PR firm. "PR Firm" is a euphamism for propagandist, influence peddler, fixer and bribery conduit.

Who or what are they trying to propagandize? This was to be a report to the President of the United States, but that is not how these guys played it. They deliberately "went around" him so as to try and sell this through the results of public opinion polls. You might say that they had no sense of history. But you can't ignore the way the combined the, "Peace in our time" of Neville Chamberlain with the "Big Lie", tactics of Josef Goebel.

As I say, I find it scary that we have professional propagandists out there trying to influence Joe Six Pack on matters of vital public policy.

Of course Edelman has already demonstrated their corrupt nature by fabricating bloggers who flew under the colors of "the man on the street" but were actually a covert arm of Elelman, during there representation of WalMart.

This begs the question of why any PR firm was hired. What was on the minds of these guys? If they worked for me and pulled crap like that, they would be kicked out the door and made to pick up the bill.
