Sincere recognition of Israel essentialReader comment on item: Polls, Palestinians and the Path to Peace Submitted by Andreas H. Aure (Norway), Feb 18, 2003 at 07:48 Agree fully with your conclusions, Mr. Pipes. It is the lack of recognition of Israel's right to exist that is the core political issue of this conflict. Negotiations with the palestinans are futile, immoral and counterproductive until the majority of Palestinians/Arabs sincerely recognize Israel.Unfortunately the majority of western intellectuals evade this point completely.
