comment on peter florance's comment 2-18-03Reader comment on item: Polls, Palestinians and the Path to Peace Submitted by ralph cohen (United States), Mar 1, 2003 at 22:19 I have thought about the water control problem for some time and propose a DMZ perhaps 2 or 3 miles wide on each side of the Jordan w/appropriate outside military watching over. Jordan would have to cooperate but could be persuaded ($$$).Maybe now there would be a rationale for the crazy super high fence. There would of course have to be cross-overs for free traffic to-from Jordan (if Jordan agrees)--- This does not solve Sharon's political problem but sooner or later the demographics/birth rates will win the day for one side or the other.
