Jerusalem's statusReader comment on item: Polls, Palestinians and the Path to Peace Submitted by Peter Kauffner (China), Feb 21, 2003 at 23:19 As far as Jerusalem goes, the U.S. position should be based on international law, not what Palestinians want. UNSCR 242 calls for peace based on Israel's 1967 boundaries. Since West Jerusalem is within these boundaries, the resolution implies that it is Israeli territory.
