Half the battle is to define the problemReader comment on item: Polls, Palestinians and the Path to Peace Submitted by Ivan Barna (United States), Feb 18, 2003 at 14:51 To most logical problem-solvers, the simple rule of thumb is: half the battle is to define the problem, the second half is to solve it. Dr. Pipes, please keep on advocating, indeed shout it from the rooftop that the problem is : most Palestinians do not accept the existence of Israel and the solution is : Israel must be allowed to decisively defeat the Palestinians. Just keep out the EU and UN appeasers; lean harder on the still somewhat Arabist U.S. State Department and maybe, just maybe, the Palestinians will get a strong, single message that their game is finally over! A strong, consistent U.S. policy addressing the so obviously excellent steps you mentioned is the single best hope which will finally stop the "Arab war against Israel." Thank you, again, Dr. Pipes!Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
