Reader comment on item: Polls, Palestinians and the Path to Peace

What good insight into the ongoing problem in Israel. I have always seen that the issue is not side-by-side states - one Jewish and one Palestinian, but the desire is for the annihilation of the Jewish state completely. If they would have wanted a Palestinian state, they could have had it after Barak offered it to them. The writing was on the wall then and the "friends" of Israel should wake up and call it what it is. We need to truly be the friend we say we are and treat Israel as the nation it is. Of course, the US Embassy and all the others ought to be in the capital, Jerusalem. If the US and others would do this, it would send a message to the rogue states that Israel is here to stay. Thank you, Daniel Pipes for speaking out. I do not have the platform that you do but , in my small way, I too speak out whenever and wherever I can. I have lost a lot of friends but that is okay. I believe in Israel and will do what I can for her.
