Irreconcilable differences

Reader comment on item: Polls, Palestinians and the Path to Peace

Submitted by James Sofko (United States), Feb 23, 2003 at 19:38

Group conflicts involving territoriality, religion and ethnicity are irresolvable by any means short of total defeat of one side or the other. No appeal to morality or justice will influence such confrontations. In the short run Israel can win, in the long run the Arabs will prevail by simple fecundity.
