Palestinians get too much support

Reader comment on item: Polls, Palestinians and the Path to Peace

Submitted by Yeung Wai Lung (United States), Mar 9, 2003 at 10:55

Why Palestinians hate Israelis? Because they suffered numerous defeats in the hands of Israelis. Because they get too much support from the Arab world as well as the Western World. This made them believe that they can beat the Israelis. They get more support means peace in the Middle East is more difficult.

However, to the best of my knowledge, some of the support from Asia is actually from the fear of Islamic militants. The media simply prevents the publishing of anti-islamic materials or seemingly will upset the islam world. This is very obvious, if they are anti-israel or anti-US, nothing awful will happen. If they are anti-islam, they may get into deep trouble. Because of this, the media in Asia supports terrorism.

Some of the people in the US supports the Palestinians and Saddam because they wants to protect the weak and the insane, this is a part of the western culture.

When the Palestinians fail to get support and they realise that they have to live with the jews, they will not hate them anymore. Because they know that they cannot get rid of them, they have to live with them.
At present, someone give the Palestinians a hope that they can get rid of Israel and the people there. That's why they hate them.
