Another Possibility

There is another element in this discussion which encompasses both of these possibiities and one which will be heard more and more often in the future. I believe that the Palestinians will, with their newfound support demonstrated in the recent anti-war rallies, put forth the idea of the one man, one vote solution either within the framework of two states or, eventually, as they see it, one state. The policy which they abhor is Israel's refusal to recognize the Palestinian Law of Return. If this were to come about, it would signal the destruction of Israel as a Jewish, the specifics of which are unnecessary to iterate here. So the Palestinians must be convinced to set aside their goal of the returning Palestianians to the areas they vacated in 1948 and thereafter. The settlement issue is simple compared to this one.
