Much of what you describe is indicative of radical Islam..

in response to reader comment: Clarification please. What is Islam and what is radical Islam?

Dr. Pipes has written quite a bit on the distinctions...He's written articles on how to identify moderate Mulsims (what questions to ask); he's renounced the views of people who say, "Islam is Islam" and it's all evil (see "A reply to Lawrence Auster" Jan. 28, 2005); and he's also noted how radical Islamists attempt to pretend to be "moderates" (Dr. Pipes puts quotation marks around those Muslims who pretend to be "moderates" but who are actually radicals.)

Another point, Dr. Pipes maintains (I believe) that radical Islam is NOT just about "violence" -- that is, there are Muslims who preach a radical agenda (for example, imposing Shariah law in the States, overthrowing the U.S. constitution, etc) Yet believe in achieving their ends through PEACEFUL means -- even though they advocate "peace" they are, none-the-less Islamists (they wish to spread Islamism through the ballot box, through demography, through immigration, etc,); their ultimate goal being to establish a Caliphate (or world-wide Muslim rule). So the distincition between "moderate" and "radical" Islam does not hinge on whether or not "violence" is advocated. (it's more about tolerance of diversity, acceptance of plurality, etc -- not imposing a single Islamic view on others).
