Time for a change? Or "How to re-assess who's an 'ally' of the U.S."

Reader comment on item: In 1796, U.S. Vowed Friendliness With Islam

Submitted by J.S. (Canada), Nov 10, 2006 at 13:04

MI5 in Britain today announced that they are tracking 1,600 individuals who preach and follow the tenets of radical Islam. In addition MI5 is following up on at least 30 terrorist plots (the head of MI5 worries about the use of nuclear, biological and chemical weapons). I suspect that MI5's resources are being stretched to the hilt. This is thanks to the UKs open-door, appeasment policies with respect to radical Islam for the past 20 years -- every mad Mullah and crack-pot Imam was granted entrance and amnesty into Britain. Now the West will pay the price for such idiocy. Thanks UK!

I am not at all impressed with the Democratic victory in the U.S. -- this signals a lack of resolve and can only lead to further problems. I consider the Democrats to be a Trojan Horse. Especially troublesome is the Democrats attitude (as represented by such fellows as Ted Kennedy) toward immigrants..."the more the merrier" - and the irony here is that the threat to the United States could come NOT just from Muslim or Islamic majority countries funneling their citizenry to the U.S., but from countries such as the UK.

Frankly, I don't think the UK can for very much longer be considered an "ally" of the U.S. They should probably be considered a hostile entity...
