It is true, as you say, that right from the time the Indians got their independence, they have got it wrong on the issue of world politics and alignments. Thus, they have always (unenviably, of course) had the compulsion of living with undesirable effects of their policies. Only, in my article, I stretched the beginnings of the Indian "mis-aligned" policies to 712 A.D. itself. That is why I expessed at least a flicker of hope that it is high time the Hindus joined the rest of the world in the fight against terrorism. Silence is tacit approval of terrorism, just as you say.
