Now, even the Pope is in hot water due to reading from an historical document and discussing the idea that violence has no place in religion. That is waving a red flag in front of the Muslim bull.

The Muslim response has been world wide hysteria and generally "How dare you say we are violent. Apologize now or face the consequences." Fatwa may be on the way.

Unfortunately, I think that Christians in Muslim countries will bear the blunt of the Pope's remarks. The dwindling Christian population in Muslim countries will dwindle more. Muslims do not distingiush between Greek Orthodox or Roamn Catholic or Copt or Lutheran. A Christian is an infidel. Period.

Like the palestinians like to say "First the Saturday People , then the Sunday People."

Except the "Saturday " people have a very effective army and the Sunday people do not so it's reversed.

A religion or realy any belief so defensive about any and all criticism shows its weakness. A strong ideology or philosophy can withstand any amount of critical ideas. A weak one immediately goes for their holster.

Obedience, submission, no debate, no dialogue, no freedom to express an idea are the hallmarks of Fascism and that is why Islam has become the Fascism of out times.

Terrorism and shouts of "Allah Akbar!" while murdering women and children - the same thing said while praying - is the death rattle of Islam. Unless a Reformation sweeps the apologists for murder from their mosques, the cult is doomed. It will not make it through the 21st century.

Change or die. Muslims read that as "Silence or you infidels will die. "
