Dr. Pipes, you're right

Judging by my family, friends, associates, etc., even though I live in Europe, it seems that Dr. Pipes is right. After the initial "United We Stand," "God Bless America!," and other similar expressions, things pretty much have returned to "normal." This fact, coupled with what's been going on in Europe since 9-11, give us a very bleak and unpromising picture of current events and the near future in general.
