Arab paranoiaReader comment on item: Is Campus Watch Part of a Conspiracy? [On Mearsheimer-Walt and The "Israeli Lobby"] Submitted by Octavio Johanson (Italy), May 12, 2006 at 14:38 The ideology behind Campus Watch is clear: it is pro-Israeli. The promoters of the campaign have never kept that secret. Now, you can agree or disagree with Campus Watch. But to talk about conspiracies, that is paranoid. Arabs always thing that the world is run by Jewish and Christian puppeteers, that Arab leaders themselves are puppets. That says more about the Arabs than about anyone else. Arabs seem to be paranoid, to think that the whole world is against them. So, Campus Watch is part of a broader conspiracy. Arabs should not blame other people for their own shortcomings. Campus Watch is, indeed, a pressure group. But it operates in the open, and its aims are clear. There is no conspiracy.
