An ironic twist of fateReader comment on item: Is Campus Watch Part of a Conspiracy? [On Mearsheimer-Walt and The "Israeli Lobby"] Submitted by Robert Arbetman (United States), May 15, 2006 at 17:26 Dear Mark: I certainly share your admiration of Dr. Pipes and am grateful for his work on the subject of the Walt/Mearsheimer report. I'm about to stick my neck out on a limb now. I have a bad feeling might get some nasty-grams in my email box for this, but here it goes! If there's any one human being who deserves credit for exposing this Walt/Mearsheimer report for what it truly is, it's none other than DAVID DUKE. David Duke's glowing endorsement of the Walt/Mearsheimer report did more to expose the report's anti-Semitic nature than anything anyone else has written or said since it's publication. That includes our friend Dr. Pipes. It is an ironic twist of fate. David Duke is certainly NOT worthy of the word "hero" and I hope that my comments here are not mis-represented or mis-interpreted. Sincerely, Robert Arbetman Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please. Comments are screened and in some cases edited before posting. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate.
