Reader comment on item: Is Campus Watch Part of a Conspiracy? [On Mearsheimer-Walt and "The Israeli Lobby"]

Submitted by donvan (United States), May 12, 2006 at 14:38

How dare you,or anyone, challenge the Academics. The impediment of the Deconstruction of western civilization must not be allowed to happen. If actual intellectuals, like Dr Pipes, challenge the academic establishment, we may find ourselves actually embracing those fanciful concepts as .."Inalienable rights" or "Freedom of the press" or "Free speech" or "Individual freedom". This could lead to a nation where citizens actually believe that they live in a unique country where each individual has a group of "Rights".

Imagine such a place, where even students could express a philosophical opposition to a Professor, even when the Professor is an expert in Western Civilizational Deconstruction, and feels really, really bad that the Islamics are so misunderstood. After all, everyone knows that all those who challenge the Professorate are part of a "conspiracy"
