Meisenheimer & Walt's characterization of Campus WatchReader comment on item: Is Campus Watch Part of a Conspiracy? [On Mearsheimer-Walt and The "Israeli Lobby"] Submitted by Yzoleowl (United States), Jun 29, 2006 at 21:08 Meisenheimer and Walt's version of Daniel Pipes' report sees a plot when the honest reporting points out the fallacies of their statements. Don't question our report - it is gospel, anyone who points out the inconsistencies is a plotter with connections who is out to get us. Disregarding the facts and warning critics with rebuttal of our findings is an enemy attacking Academia, - read "Don't question members of Academia - we're always right, objective and truthful, and if anyone has the temerity to shine a strong light on our thesis and show the inconsistencies, the glossing over of half-truths or pointing out exaggerations and false conclusions, that is the enemy and we'll say anything to discredit him." And these are our children's teachers? Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
