TO: R. ARBETMANReader comment on item: Is Campus Watch Part of a Conspiracy? [On Mearsheimer-Walt and The "Israeli Lobby"] Submitted by Nick Wadena (United States), Jun 12, 2006 at 01:52 How can you say that since David Duke agreed with Mearsheimer and Walt that this is logic enough to call their work anti semitic? What power do they have over who says what about their work? Thats like saying I love America and then saying I agree with the War in Iraq and all the screwed up things America does around the world. I can appreciate you tring to defend your heritage and speaking out against what you see as anti semtic. However if you want to get technical, Palestinians are Semities, and their mistreatment by Israel is actually the real anti semitism. But the work of Mearsheimer and Walt is not trying to be anti semetic,(there are easier ways) they are trying to point out what is known throughout Washington DC. That speaking out against Israel, its policies or the Lobby is career suicide. And that kind of power is totally against what democracy and the United states are to stand for. Do you see why?
