Reader comment on item: Islamophobia?

Submitted by Donald W. Bales (United States), Oct 25, 2005 at 21:50

it is used as the words "homophobia" and "racism" are used-to silence any open discussion of the problems.

I, for one, have a fear of radical Iislamists (Islamo-Fascists, Islamo-Socialists). not so much for myself, but for the U. S., the whole civilized world, and for those Muslims who not adhere to Wahabbi and radical Islamist beliefs. But are they the same?

I perceive that Islam is undergoing a religious revival, possibly similar to the "Great Awakening" in the past Christian world, and that the radicals are exploiting it with the help of oil money. This war is indeed about oil. Without the money from the Arabs and Iranians selling the oil, this terrorists would not be doing what they are doing and what they have done.
