It has been said that where a person, indeed a group, comes from; it goes a long way in deciding where they are going.

Given the reality of the profound influence of Arab culture upon Islam, it would behoove us to check to see what is actually said in writings that have no axe to grind.

What Genesis chapter 16, especially the verses towards the end, have to say is light that is needed. For those who reject what they have to say, well, they have done a very good job of blind-folding themselves; or, allowing themselves to be blind-folded.
