Reader comment on item: Europeans Fleeing Eurabia
in response to reader comment: French Jews in Quebec?

Submitted by Joel Cuerrier (Canada), Aug 3, 2012 at 10:15

Quebec have always done well by their Jewish diaspora!

The ONLY problem is muslim immigration, but that is worst in Toronto. Also, Québec is lucky, it is much more islamophobe than the rest of North-America. Basically, we're considered hateful, it's part of our nationalism. We want to preserve our identity in this Continent, it's not antisemitism, never was. It was more anti-protestantism historically. The Jews only decided to take the side of the WASP, that is their only historical problem, it's not about the Jews, it's about which side you stand on.

Just read Leonard Cohen, Beautiful Loser, our most famous Jewish export. He understand where we stand, and we are the Jews of Canada. French-Canadians that is, we're the scapegoat to every goddamn canadians wanted to blame someone for anything and everything. So get over yourself. Québec is the Israel of North-America. Only, our diaspora is the French. Leonard Cohen even have a song about it that equate us to the Jews. The Wandering Jew become The Wandering Canadian. That is us, we are not those who persecute, we are the persecuted.

Jews are just not part of those who historically sided with us, that's all. It's not at all antisemitism, a Jew is just someone who speak English and is hateful of the French majority in Québec. That's all, we're just reacting. The French Jews all speak French. And well, they are migrating to Québec now, they'll be confused because all their community here speak English.

But seriously, we're not Argentina. Toronto is WAY more dangerous for Jews, because they accept Canada as it is, the multiculturalism and all. We reject it and that is your saving grace.

Join the majority, speak French, and we'll all get along just fine.
