Bouchard and his Parliamentary snub

in response to reader comment: And Canada has even worse INTERNALS

I remember well Bouchard's warm welcome to Parliament after losing a leg to flesh-eating disease. Then the shock. Not one word of thanks. Just a statement: If you think this will change my mind about Quebec separating from Canada, you're mistaken... or words to that effect.... absolute stunned silence. Need more be said of the man?

I fought diseases for years too. I don't consider myself to be brave. Fighting to save other peoples' lives is brave. Fighting to save one's own's life is just nature asserting itself. I'm sick to death of hearing how brave we are just for trying to stay alive.

But what has this to say about immigration? That's the kind of person who will welcome Jews to Quebec. When The Parti Quebecois lost a referendum to form "sovereignty association" (a cowardly way to say secession because they knew an honest question would get a resounding no) Parizeau blamed "immigrants and money." Translation? The Jews.

More importantly, Mr. Devashahayam, you didn't mention the immigration into peace n lovin' Canuckistan and its mindless embrace of multiculturalism, even to the point where the Khadrs felt quite free on TV to say "We are an Al Qaeda family. What's wrong with that? We have a right to whatever politics we like. We are Canadians." Well, actually, don't look now, but supporting Al Qaeda is a crime in Canada. It's on the list. But there are many sympathizers. A cab driver, on the evening of 9/11 told me "They deserved it." What does it say that a man like that assumes any Canadian stranger will more likely accept that statement as reasonable?
