OK, now i see more clearly your points and I even agree with the general idea of having islamist parties and the freedom to elect them. but the fatal flaw in your argument is your naivete about the arab mind. i dont' say this as a discrimination but as a reality, with respect for differences, and as one who has lived with the culture for many years. i hope you will give me the benefit of my personal experience in shaping my views.

The cultural differences are where we diverge and the reason why things will never work out the way you envision, the democratic ideology of inspiring muslims to better themselves, to take advantage of education, strive for economic prosperity, etc. . Unfortunately you are ascribing anthropromorphically attributes of one culture, the West, to another, Mid Eastern.

Being educated had no bearing on the actions of the 911 hijackers. it doesn't convince any of the would be bombers who are in the US for university schooling. It is not as simple as if they only had access to education and no poverty, there would be no terrorism. If they only had democratically elected govts there would be no terrorism. That is your faulty supposition, Schills.
