I find your coments interesting. just one note. yes it is true that jesus never called for enyone to follow him. he never openly claimed to be the messiah. but in the bible he does mention in john 4; 1-42 when jesus meets the samaritan woman at the well . he says "it is he" in response to her question about the so called messiah. i believe this to be the only time jesus ever claimed himself to someone other than his 12 disciples that he is the messiah.
