Palestinian Word Games
Reader comment on item: Palestinian Word Games

Submitted by Moll (Canada), Jan 4, 2005 at 17:15

The edomite and ishmaelite arabs living in Samaria, Judea and Gaza are not only politically redefining the near east; they are doing so theologically as well, with the help of left-wing israelis, peace now advocates and bleeding heart, small "l" liberals, both secular and theologically.

They state "the hebrews of the bible have no connection to the jews of today; the hebrews of the bible were arabs, the prophets of the bible were muslims; the biblical King Solomon was a muslim prophet, Solomon's Temple was not built by Israelites, but by arab canaanites; the canaanites are the forefathers of the palestinians, the bible is legends based on what jews imagined and not on history; the jews today are descendants of a 13th century Khazar tribe with no history in the land of israel; the location of the temple mount in jerusalem is a zionist invention, zionism is racism" (read about this in Palestinian Media Watch).

Re-writing history [His (God's)-story] doesn't change any biblical "facts": such as 1. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob established that the Land of Israel belongs to Him (read the Hebrew Scriptures Leviticus 25:23 and Deuternomy 11:12); 2. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob has placed His name in Jerusalem (read II Chronicles 6:6, I Kings 9:3);
3. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob established His covenant with Abraham, through Isaac and promises to "bless those who bless Israel, and curse those who curse Israel" (read Genesis 12:3, Genesis 13:14; Genesis 15:17,18); 4. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob confirms this covenant through Isaac and not Ishmael (read Genesis 17:18,19, Genesis 26:3-5, Genesis 48:3,4, and also through Jacob, (read Genesis 35:13, Genesis 48:3,4, and Genesis 50:24); 5. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob gives the exact boundaries of the promised land (read Numbers 34:1-15); 6. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob states that the covenant of the Land is based on His eternal character, not on Israel's own righteousness, and He makes clear that even they they, the Israelis forsake His will, He will NEVER forget His covenant (read Leviticus 26:42-45, Jeremiah 31:35-37); 7. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob states that He will restore Israel for the sake of His Holy Name (read Ezekial 37:17-23, Exekial 39:25-29, Jeremiah 33:23-26);
8. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob says He will gather the exiles and bring them home to Israel (read Isaiah 11:10-12); 9. All of the above is true, because the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is NOT a man, that He should lie (read Numbers 23:19).

And -- re-writing theology by replacing God's chosen children of Israel, with the modern "church", doesn't change any biblical "facts" either. If the covenant-keeping God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob doesn't keep His promises He made to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, then He won't be keeping any promises the christian world is hanging on to either.
Besides, the christian world has conveniently forgotten that the Jesus they purport to worship, was born into a jewish family, in Bethlehem of Judea (not the West Bank, or Palestine), had a brit m'lah, had a bar mitzvah, kept 1,836 shabbats in His lifetime; kept all the Feast Days of the Lord, read only the Hebrew scriptures.

However, it is my opinion that the State of Israel's greatest enemy is the jew who hates himself for being jewish. These are the left-wing secular politicians, the peace now and international solidarity movement agitators. The strategy is to "divide and conquer". Israelis have to have a united stand, or the enemy of the jews will win.

respectfully, Moll - a messianic gentile
