Israel a victim of the paradigm shift dieses

Reader comment on item: Immanuel Kant vs. Israel

Submitted by Prakash Khatiwala (India), Aug 18, 2010 at 01:31

Surely today's Europeans can not be faulted if they suffer from paradigm shift n change their perspective towards Israel. But at the same they can not ignore the fact that Israel even today is a pariah in the middle East n has to battle it out on a daily basis for its very survival. Every one will readily agree that Israel would give up its bellicose attitude if its accepted as a sovereign nation by its current enemies.

If this fact is appreciated, then all concerned including Turkey should prevail upon other actors in the region to accept Israel as a community member. The day that will happen the ensuing peace in the region will be a great boon to the entire world. But I doubt that such a dawn will ever happen as the Islamists' target is not just Israel but entire world which includes region called Christian Europe.
