The Qur'an and cosmology! Ptolemaic cosmology in the Qur'an v. Galileo, Copernicus and Kepler

Our dear Deb is horrified that other semites were in agreement with Ptolemaic cosmology but what he does not tell us is that the Qur'an also follows such cosmology (see the Quranic seven heavens traditions) as we find in Ptolemy's book almagest and that islam had to deal also with Galileo, Kepler and Copernicus and it was as you shall see below not very pleasant

It seems that our dear Deb is not aware that Allah follows the cosmology established by a mere human being and a kafir and a Greek/Egyptian by the name of Ptolemy as you will find in his book almagest and this cosmology is known as the Ptolemaic cosmology so let me see and the Qur'an does not even give the credit to such incorrect cosmology to Ptolemy and you know what we call that? We call it plagiarism

1. The Qur'an says that the earth is flat. as in

wa al-ard ba3da dhalika dahaaha

So is the earth flat our dear deb?

2. The Qur'an says that earth is the center of the universe and that the moon and the sun orbit earth! What a fadiha oh fadiha? It means scandal so is earth the center of the universe?

And the fool the late Mufti of Saudi Arabia Sheikh 3abdallah bin Baz (he died in 1999 and must be enjoying his Allah's 72 virgins and or boys of heaven since then) he wrote a book

jarayan al-shams wa al-qamar wa sukun al-ard

Or: the motion of the sun and the moon and the stationary of earth

And what he is saying in his book is that indeed the earth is the center of the universe and that it is flat and he even issued a fatwat al-takfeer for anyone that would challenge such cockamamie Quranic cosmology and he also wrote that the landing of the moon by the Americans in 1969 was a khid3a or fooling those poor Muslims in believeing that they landed on the moon! Oh Islamic conspiracy theory

When Prince Sultan bin Salman bin 3abd al-3aziz and who is an astronaut "carried aloft in NASA's space shuttle he could certainly have commented on the shaikh's thesis if he had not been preoccupied with the urgent task of determining the direction of qibla or mecca for his prayers"! (see Ruthven where this is a quote from Pervez Hoodbhoy)

And the poor prince was told in no uncertain terms not to disagree with that fool mufti

How come your Allah had no clue about the works of Galileo, Copernicus and Kepler and why would he follow the incorrect Ptolemaic cosmology? You think we should do lunch with Allah and we can tell him that he should stop listening to Ptolemy and get rid of his book almagest? What do you think?

See? when you throw names in your little posts to prove that you know something in actual fact you only make a fool of yourself
