Reader comment on item: The Temple Mount's Indian counterpart

Submitted by PPS (United States), May 21, 2010 at 02:53

Dear Dr Pipes:

Today I saw your 2001 article on Babri Mosque in India. Thanks for writing this article and linking the story of Ayodhya with that of Temple Mount. Whether it is Ayodhya, or Hagia Sophia, or the Temple Monunt, or the Mosque in Cordoba, or Krishna Birth Place in Mathura (another Indian site), or (as recently as now) the so called Cordoba Initiative, the story is always the same -- no one is safe from the hands of Islamist religious expansionism. The idea is always the same -- take the most sacred or iconic site of another religion and replace it by an Islamic place of worship. This idea has been repeated so many times and at so many places that no one should doubt it at all. Cordoba initiative is nothing but a jar full of crocodile tears.
