madness of funding reconstruction of GazaReader comment on item: That Surreal Gaza Reconstruction Conference Submitted by Pam U.K. (United Kingdom), Mar 3, 2009 at 16:49 The assertions made in this article as to the folly of the international community allocating these enormous funds to the reconstruction of Gaza would seem obvious to all but the hopelessly unrealistic. Do they really think they can control where the money goes and what happens to the materials sent in, seeing that Hamas rules Gaza with a rod of iron? Who authorised British P.M. Gordon Brown to use our taxpayers' money in this futile cause, whilst our own economy falls apart? Do the participating governments care that they will be re-equipping the Hamas terrorist organisation? There seems to be a touch of insanity in the project, and the article exposes this clearly.
