" It seems to be a waste of time trying to reason with our present political leaders. They are all so lost in their pipe dreams of a socialist paradise where everything is all peace and love that they can't possibly see the real writing on the wall."

Maybe some can - but for the most part they see Muslims as a voting bloc so of course politicians are just following their own agenda which as you say is to believe in some vague social utopia where unclean Infidels get to hold hands with enlightened Muslims. As most politicians are already divorced enough from day to day realities, due partly to their overinflated pay packets and perks - I can't see the point in looking at them for an answer. There must be some who see the trends and dangers but are too timid to speak out.

"It's time to take away their mirrors so that they might see something besides themselves. "

It took a 9/11 for the US to do anything - and the Bali bombing for our (Australian) security agencies to really get serious about looking at the potential (and actuality) of home-grown Muslim terrorism.

It's logical to expect another attack equalling or exceeding 9/11, London tube bombings, Madrid , Bali etc will galvanise public opinion in the West to demand serious if not severe steps be taken against the infiltrators along the lines of shape up or ship out. One thing that springs to mind is a '1 strike and you're out rule' for any Muslim who commits a serious crime such as murder or grievous bodily harm or conducts a terrorist act or aids and abets terrorism in any way. Also the list of offences should include intimidating or threatening in ANY way a person for changing his/her religion. Committing any of these would mean immediate deportation with no right of appeal and no right of return, ever to any Western society.

Combined with this should be education and part of that should be the wide availablity of the facts of Mo's disgusting life - exposing this person for what he was. If fear was taken out of the equation and Muslims felt truly free able to change their religion - and really got the lowdown on what their 'holy prophet' was like - there's no doubt many would see the light and choose another more meaningful path.

"They definitely need a wake up call but who is game for it? And HOW might it be done without too much violence?"

Radical problems require radical solutions. A couple of kilo's of lysergic acid in their water supplies would be relatively cheap and is bound to shatter a few highly cherished illusions and definitely encourage much introspection.
